The Beatles: Other Albums

This article aims to inform readers of other albums beside the ones listed in the Beatles Box Set. Some of these albums include, the Love album (released by the Beatles during 2006), the Anthology Album and the BBC album. It also gives information about the availability of other boot-legged albums which can be found in Deluxe Albums.

The Beatles Box Set or the 2009 Beatles Remasters contains the Beatles Discography of 13 albums. It includes all the British albums released by the Beatles including some of their singles in the Past Masters or Mono Masters, depending on the sound output (Stereo or Mono). This became the standard Beatle Playlist ever since its release on 2009.

However, this Beatle Box Set is still missing a few tracks which were somehow skipped or not added to the box set.

Old Brown Shoe/The Ballad of John and Yoko

These Beatle tracks were released as a single, Old Brown Shoe was written by George Harrison while the “The Ballad of John and Yoko” was written by John Lennon. Old Brown Shoe was recorded without the other two Beatles; John Lennon played the lead guitar while Paul McCartney played the drums. This single isn’t available in the Mono Beatle Box Set

This is a separate Beatles album made my George Martin, it is a mash-up of the Beatle’s discography in a single album. The Love album contains some of the Beatle tracks even from their early years, these Beatle tracks were remixed and edited so that they could form a medley. Love is a good alternative to the Beatle repertoire. This album mixes some of the Beatle elements like how you would never experience it in any other form.

Anthology Albums

There are three Anthology Albums featuring a multitude of never before heard songs, although some poor in quality because the Beatles never actually recorded it in a studio. Most of the tracks here were already in the hands of Beatle fans with bootlegs. In this album you could hear all of the Beatle demos and takes before coming up with the final product which was released. Some of the tracks feature Pete Best, the former Beatle drummer before Beatlemania.

BBC Album

The BBC Album contains tracks the Beatles sung on the BBC Show. Some were promotions of their already released tracks while some are completely new like “Hippy Hippy Shake”. This album contains many tracks of the Beatles and most of which were sung by George Harrison. The BBC album contains Pop tracks and Rock tracks. There is also a Honey Don’t track sung by John Lennon instead of Ringo Starr. Most of the tracks were performed live by the Beatles.

Deluxe Albums

Deluxe Albums are bootleg albums which were not released by the Beatles, deluxe albums were made by the fans of the Beatles, and these contain takes which were not released in the Anthology.
